Ignacio "Nachito" Morales
Dallas, TX

Ignacio Morales was The Big Squeeze champion of 2011. Affectionately known as Nachito, Ignacio Morales hails from the Oak Cliff neighborhood in Dallas. He is currently a senior at the historic Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, where he has earned All-State honors in band on the saxophone. Morales began playing the accordion at the age of 3. His father purchased an accordion for him when he was 10 and quickly learned 10 songs on his new squeezebox.

Since making a splash on the conjunto scene, Morales has built a statewide fan-base with his group, Los Morales Boyz, consisting of his 2 younger brothers, Rudy Morales on the bajo sexto and Cheque Morales on the drums.

The group made several debuts on the scene in 2013. Los Morales Boyz performed at the Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival held February in Austin, Texas. In May 2013, the group made their first appearance at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center's 32nd Annual Tejano Conjunto Festival en San Antonio. In July 2013, Los Morales Boyz won the Best Young Conjunto Group award from the South Texas Conjunto Association. A month later in August 2013, they made their debut performance at Austin's famed Antone's Club, sharing the stage with Los Texmaniacs as part of a CD Release Party for Texas Folklife's Accordion Kings and Queens Festival Live! recorded at Houston's Miller Outdoor Theater in June 2012.

In 2013, Los Morales Boyz produced and released their first CD, “Conjunto Nunca Muere”. Conjunto fans expect hearing great things from Ignacio and Los Morales Boyz for years to come. Website
